IPTV Android Mobile Apps

I have used Televizo in the past but not purchased the premium version.
Do you use the premium version?
It’s pretty decent but still prefer Tivimate.
I got it last year during the black Friday sale for £4.99. Pretty good but not as good as Tivimate on the Android TV boxes although it does work fine there as well. Implayer is the most cost effective option since premium gives you access to both the TV and dedicated mobile app and syncing across multiple devices. I found implayer more prone to crashes compared to Tivimate and a tad but sluggish. I liked the layout of Televizo more for mobile but it is missing features like downloading vod or catchup and sports zone that implayer has.

The reason I didn’t purchase was down to the layout and as you say maybe more suited to a mobile device and I personally don’t use IPTV on a mobile device.
I have tested lots of iptv apps over the years and I always go back to Tivimate as my preferred choice.
I don’t think you can beat the layout and functionality of it imo.

Well why sign up for a service if you know the rules the supplier wants you to use thete apps.

Don't forget you might still get caught it's not hard for a supplier to change user agent in app. It dosent actually do anything important.

You ate risking getting banned. And you have no come back.

I suppose that’s the beauty of taking trials and finding out what the rules are first before you actually subscribe.

Most tell you I should imagine. Some have rules about it like 1 year sign ups. Some just give out dns.

And others strictly thete apps only. You can't start crying like I said if they tell you to use there app and you get caught.

Just find a supplier who will give out dns.

Why would they be in trouble for giving out their own urls? I prefer an independent app like Tivimate, Implayer, Televizo on Android or UHF, Snappier for iOS/tvOS. These work with any provider and not restricted to using terribly branded smarters or whatever.

Any supplier that is restricting access to their own apps is again just wanting to control which platforms can access it. The credentials from the custom apps can be extracted in multiple ways and then you can use the independent apps listed above. Imagine downloading a movie only to learn it can only play in certain players, that's out of order!
Because some iptv suppliers don’t let you send out dns to customers because it’s sensitive and say for example if sky get hold off the dns your service is getting shut down, if you don’t know this then you need to learn more about it or ask some suppliers.

You know how easy that is to get hold of for the user and for the isp if they wanted? Just capturing a few packets will reveal the dns, username and password since each channel has that. So they are just telling you that it's sensitive and you're falling for it and being locked into the horrible apps.

You really think your isp doesn't already see you connecting to a server and streaming for hours on end? Even with a vpn all it takes is some deep packet inspection and your isp know that video is being streamed since video streaming has specific bandwidth requirements, combine this with streaming during a match and it's very simple to connect the dots that a match is being steamed. Once they know or suspect specific types of data it's being streamed they could even slow traffic to specific servers.

This is not some new technology either, been happening for years. Article from 2006 and another one that talks more about the techniques.

What is Deep Packet Inspection? (And How it Really Works)

3. Deep packet inspection can slow down your network by dedicating resources for your firewall to be able to handle the processing load.

I think you're being very naive if you think suppliers are actually being protected by a custom app. It's a ploy by suppliers to force their apps, make it harder for the customer to have any control, lock them in for longer periods because all their settings, favorites are in the dedicated app. I don't need to ask any suppliers anything, you can continue using the dodgy apps they provide and I'll stick with Tivimate.

I am not entirely sure on if the isp can get hold off the dns or the user I’ve never heard about that before but now, I’m referring to sky not the isp if your selling subs and someone wants a trial and u don’t know who your giving details too they maybe a sky agent and can close your service down.

And even if your provider has warned you not to give out dns and you still do they can see from the panel what player they using and they might fine you or block you so you don’t do it again. Just because you want to make a few bucks you take a big risk off putting service in risk.

Not going to comment on this further after this comment since we're already getting off topic but who do you think Sky contacts when they know a lot of people are using a particular service? They go to the ISP, get usage patterns and proof of the server address, location and more metadata and go from there. The notion that a modified app has the power to disrupt the entire investigation is fantasy. I just want to use any app I please for any service I subscribe to, not asking for the moon here. You can continue to use the pre-made apps if you prefer, just want everyone to have the freedom to pick is all.

Basically sky are the owners and they have the right to be watching every platform on where resellers give free trials & sell on not sure if you know it. Sky work with these big companies platforms around to catch whoever is selling that’s why I’m trying to say it’s better using a suppliers app to reduce the risk off the service.

If the supplier has rules you have to use there apps and you don't and you get caught you can't complain if you get kicked.

Just ask for one that gives it out at the beginning. Like @mike123 said.

Looking online doesn't look like there are any "black Friday" discounts for Tivimate?

Thought I would double check on here before purchasing
