The IPTV Crackdown Continues: A Thread For Customers Not Resellers

Sky has accused Amazon of not doing enough to prevent the piracy of its sports rights via “jailbroken” Fire Sticks.

Sky’s group chief operating officer Nick Herm said that illegal viewing of its subscription content, which includes Premier League football, Formula 1 and boxing, was costing “hundreds of millions of dollars” and that “about half” was through manipulated Amazon Fire Sticks.

He had a Facebook group with nearly 4k members and sold a subscription to a stranger who happened to be working for the authorities. Asking for trouble.
Ignoring the Facebook part do you imagine that every seller knows everyone they sell to?

Not the poster you were responding to, but I feel like ignoring the facebook part is a big deal on this one. When groups are open to the public like that, it's much easier for authorities to get in there and shut something down. With that being said, no you're absolutely right, most sellers don't know the folks they sell too either. It's a fine line for sure!

No. But lots of iptv sellers now keep it low key and only sell to friends of friends. The only sellers you see getting caught are those with thousands of customers... the future of iptv is safe because it's in the hands of people who aren't greedy.

Oh there's 1000's of greedy folks out there selling cheap services broadcasting all over the place.... but it's smart to stay away from those folks. I'd say the big thing for people is to just get a recommendation from someone. Like you said... friends and friends of friends should make the customer feel safe as well as the provider. Or at least as safe as you can be with IPTV lol.

Incorrect, the future of IPTV is safe because the owners rarely sell to the public, they sell credits to resellers......

so people who work in the realms of catching sellers don't have friends? 🤔

Yes there are cheap ali or what ever yes and some of those prices may be going up I have had same providers for at least last 4 years , but there are also others selling same services at twice the price elsware and some think they are getting a good deal ( I do not mean vets etc ) on here.

even renewed supscription again for one I have been with for a few years (not from here) but not anymore all uk channels in one category even the chinese one are better less work to do with editor.

Tivimate you can hide catergorys and now they stay gone. My Chinese one is ok. But only use it for films. As it as one hell of a catalogue on it ha 🤣

Updating the channel list take fooking ages though

Lol "Jailbroken".

Just goes to show he doesn't know what he's talking about! You think if Amazon stopped the ability to sideload android apps onto a firestick subscribers wouldn't just move on to another cheap android based device??

Funny how even with losing "hundreds of millions of dollars" Sky are still making a profit? Here's an idea, lower the cost of your Sports channels in the first place and maybe subscribers wouldn't need to look at alternatives!
