SkyQ Skin

Hi,

Does anyone know how to amend this skin to incliude the stacked folder for recordings of the same programmes?
At the moment all the recordings are listed one at a time, not sure if this is possible at all though!
It would just make the Planner/Recorded page look neater if the same programmes were stacked together into a folder similar to the original Sly box.

Or can this be added to future updates?

Hi Hispa.

This is how i deleted my old SkyQ version which was provided by Chabs in the earlier posts (make sure you keep backups):

Load up a differnt skin on your box

Delete SkyQ folder in usr/share/enigma2

Delete Sky Converters & Renderers in usr/lib/enigma2/python/components/renderer and /converters

Delete all Sky converters and renderers both .py and .pyo

As well as d2nextevents.py and .pyo

Restart the box

Then you can load up the new skin

Thanks!!! This helped me to remove the Sky Q skin.

Executing the above command returns a value. Add that value to remove opkg command.

where i put this value and whch value is ??

Hi Hispa,

Connect to Telnet and login.

Execute command "opkg list-installed | grep -i skyq" this will return some value as "enigma2-plugin-skins-skyq v1.5"

Then execute the following command using the value returned by above command as,

opkg remove enigma2-plugin-skins-skyq v1.5

After this install the SkyQ skin.
 
Hi. Loving the skin. Just have one question. I've searched through the thread so I apologise if I missed it but is there any way to change the size of the description text of the current program when you go into the multi-epg and then press epg again or when you press left/right to bring up now/next and press epg to bring up the programme description?

Quick one guys does anyone know how to get the images to show on the bouquets selection and also remove the small folders next to each selection, cheers

Thanks Shaqab, it finally worked only I got the preview to work but then at first I put all of the the smaller picons directly into the location /usr/share/enigma2/SkyQ (yes without a folder called 'picon').... I know there were 4 files in that location but I could only find 2 called 'skin.xml' & 'thumbs.db', Im hoping that someone can tell me or send me the other 2 files that were in directly in LOCATION /usr/share/enigma2/SkyQ ??? I have a quick question aboout the above, I cant get around the issue of having 2 folders named 'Picon' in the same place with the same name ?? or am I missing something here ??? obviosly I have as everybody else has seemed to get over this ? lol

HI, all you need to do is create these folders:

/hdd/SkyQ/picon {in here add the sky q preview picons here}

/hdd/picon {add the picons in here}

The picon folder name has to be with lowere case p

Been using the sky q v4 for a while now and must say its a great skin....what is the difference from v4 to the latest v6 is it worth the hassle of changing it ??

is there a way to stop this skin changing the clock on the front display of the box , wont let me change it with this skin active :(

hi, sorry if i sound totally stupid here (im new to this). just set up my box today for the first time. its currently running on open atv. i would like to install this sky skin to work on my box please. i have an external hard drive here to set up to the box after i format it also. am i right in saying i just download the links on first page and attatch the files to my hard drive then plug that into the box and follow your instructions to install or? any help would be muchly appreciated.
 
you have to ftp it to the box , put the skin file into tmp folder once u have zipped it ...
then on the box :- menu .. setup ..system... software management ... install local extension ... (4)memory/temp ...... press ok on the ipk then green button to install ...
go select the skin

job done :)
 
Thanks for your help.. although that's totally confused me, how do you FTP it to the box? Iv downloaded the files on my pc and iv tried copying them to both my hard drive (toshiba 500GB) and to a 32 GB flash drive that I both formatted to fat32. Iv then tried plugging the USB drive in, rebooting my box etc and no success. Iv got the zgemma h2s by the way. Think iv made a few mistakes along the way also as all the channels are showing including the info etc but aren't working on my box except the likes of BBC..

how come this skin changes the clock on the front panel on my box , wont let me change it ... is there anyway to change this with this skin ??

Hi,
You need to go to Menu and System and then there is a setting for the front panel. You can select it to show the clock all the time
 
when i set the skyq skin , wont let me change any clock in front panel settings .. it will let me choose another clock ect when box reboots clock stays the same on default setting ... miniature clock :( from this skyq skin ... any other skin works fine ..... running on gigablue hd quad plus

hi i have tried putting picons in correct location but cant get them to display on channel selection and info bar. help appreciated. running latest ipk zgemma star h2s wooshbuild. thanks
 
having few issues with the skyq skin here if anyone can help .. clock on front panel wont change , iv tried in panel settings and its staying the same . also in the channel selection screen program progress bar is messing up event channel name..

before skyq skin install working fine on front panel

Hi I'm struggling to get picon to work. I just get the skyq image. I have put both picon folders in correct place could someone please go over where they should be and how to get them to show. Thanks

Managed to download it but it is a .rar file not .ipk
How do i get the ink file?

You would need winrar, WinZip or any file extracted to extract folder. Then ftp ipk to tmp of your receiver.
