Well done chabs. Not installed it yet, but will have a nosey soon. Releasing on a friday night. Are you mad. You better get some strong vodka in. Just browsing your screen shots you might want to add recommended settings for some of the dynamic screens, as i presume some of the graphics only work at a particular number of rows. I.e channel select

thanks for the update really appreciated.
I'm having a problem getting the picons to work - put them in /usr/share/enigma2/SkyQ/picons but I'm just getting the SkyQ pink splash
where is the path set?

Thanks kiddac. Naah....am having an early night today...planning to head to Wembley tomorrow for the FA Cup Final...I am lazy typing now...I have been playing with your Vskin this week. It is very light and fast. Trying to go through each xml file checking out the codes. I will include the number or rows and settings instructions hopefully Sunday if United win... :)

in SkyQ folder make sure the folder name is picon not Picons or picons just "picon"

Ideally you should but the picon folder on your hdd or usb. They should be alright then. And you will need to reboot after you have copied them over. A full picon set in internal memory will probably put stress on your system

The new boxes these days have plenty of space to take picons in internal flash unlike the older boxes. picons are much faster to display when they are in internal box but only if the box has enough memory. I normally have a separate box which is for helping me test the skins and play with images and components. So the memory is mostly raw.
 
I purposely left a lot of my comments in my vskin, every screen component was fully researched this time, rather than just copying other people's code (which wasn't always correct), its now a good reference base for all new vix/atv skins. Which is why i am currently rewriting slyk using vskin as a reference.

As for memory and picons. Your posting in 2s forum. Internal memory sucks ;)

Make sure the preview png files are in the /picon folder.

There should be no other folder inside the /picon

That is your tv overscan. Change the aspect ration using your tv screen. (Tv display screen size).

All installed on my h2s and it works and looks really good, the preview picons make a huge difference and the EPG tops it off. Well done Chabs cracking job
