SkyQ Skin V1.7

Download the attached rar file

Extract the ipk in the downloaded rar file and ftp the extracted ipk file to /tmp of your reciever

Installation:

Telnet command

opkg update && opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk

OpenATV

Menu... setup... software management... install local extension
memory/tmp
Press ok on the package
press green to install
Reboot Your Box.

OpenVIX

Menu > setup > VIX > Iplkg install
memory/tmp
Press ok on the package
press green to install
Reboot Your Box

Once it has installed you need to set it as your skin.

(OpenATV)

Menu... setup... Usage & GUI... skin setup.
Restart GUI

(OpenVIX)

Menu...setup...System...user interface...skin setup.
Restart GUI

SkyQ Preview Channel Picons:

Download and Extract the attached SkyQ Preview.rar file (click on the dropbox link)

Create a folder name SkyQ either in your media/usb or media/hdd or /hdd or usr/share/enigma2/SkyQ location of your reciever

Copy the downloaded folder named picon to media/hdd or /hdd or media/usb or usr/share/enigma2/SkyQ

The Skin is Based on Open Pli but it should work well with most other images. I can confirm it also works well with Open ATV.

Feel free to try it on other images (please back up your image first before installation). Do post here if it works well with other images.

The Skin also comes with 2 .sh scripts for the Top Picks.

SkyQ Scrape.sh scrapes images from the net and SkyQ Picks.sh picks up the images to display.

In your Cron Manager or Cron Time (Open ATV Menu - Timers - Cron Timers) You need to set SkyQ Scrape.sh once a day and SkyQ Picks.sh every 1hr or whatever you wish to have the images updated.

Evening Chabs loving all the new work you've done. Been away for a bit and had a good play today.
When in EPG and inputting a channel number to skip quickly to it it takes about 4-5 seconds for the EPG to react. Is there a way of speeding this up at all?

Installed skin on vu solo2 but had to delete it via FTP due to a few problems, the problem is now when I come to reinstall it it says skin matches installed version and wont install. I guess it has left some files in there somewhere( I just deleted the sky q folder in enigma2 file) can anyone point me in the right direction to find these files

hi there do you have VUCC If so login in using ip address etc and go to telnet on the left hand side and copy this

opkg update && opkg install -force-overwrite /tmp/*.ipk

And should be all good from there as it overwrites the other sky q skins hope this helps

Hey awesome work on the skin Chabs, looks very good, and love the incorporation of virtualzap. I was just wondering what is the actual purpose of the two scripts, the SkyQscrape.sh and Skypicks.sh. How will i know if they are working correctly? The only criticism i could give is that on the latest release the channels selection pages is a little bit too busy, alot going on, almost a little confusing as to what your looking at.

Would there be a way to add a info bar similar to yours with virtualzap in for an older skin, perhaps the redHD skin? more than likely not but worth asking :-)

I am on Openvix 4.2.019. On the 'Channel Selection' screen how do I get the small preview screen like the one below under (TV)Kids. Currently this is a small portion of the whole picture which appears in the background.

Manually remove the old version using ftp

Change the skin to default or any other:

Delete SkyQ folder in usr/share/enigma2

Delete Sky fonts in usr/share/fonts

Delete any Sky converters or renderers and d2events.py and .pyo in usr/lib/enigma2/python/components/converter and renderer

Delete both .py or pyo for the Sky Converters and Renderers if you have any in the folder

Reboot your receiver and install your desired version

Copied from one of chabs previous replies.

This is the only way I personally can update the skin

Depending on your image you may not have all the listed files delete what you have and it should be fine.

When you install new version if there is a file or files that haven't been removed it will tell you can't remove x,y and z file
Take a note and manually delete them and try again

Trying to istall V1.701 on the new Wooshbuild V5 get the IPK file on box installed it ,rebooted and still don't have different options for the channel selection in the TV Guide
Do I have to delete the original Skyq skin or is there something I ve missed
Any help would be appreciated in advance

hello was wondering if someone can help me, i have wooshbuild v5.003 and it comes with the skyQ skin, (well done chabs really nice skin) the info panel that displays when you change channel with the channel up and down button on remote just has skyQ icon not the channel picon how do i fix that?

plus how to get the epg to look like in the pic above mine looks diffrent?

Have a look in the WooshBuild thread you need to download the skyq picons from download plugins-wooshbuild. If you can't find it post in the WooshBuild thread

Hi Chabs, Nice SkyQ Skin V1.7 and the other 2. Respect. I am using a Duo2 with openvix 4.1. I have installed the V1.7. In my Cron Manager, I cannot see the SkyQ Scrape.sh and the SkyQ Picks.sh. Any Help.
