Recording/timeshift OpenATV

Has anyone experienced issues recording or going into timeshift IPTV on an Octagon SF8008 running OpenATV?

Service code 1 allows recording but 4097/5001/5002 doesn't and some streams don't play nicely with service code 1.

Recording iptv is hit and miss on enigma2 boxes.
You might have better results if you have a twin connection line but even then, it's a 50/50 chance.
Recording isn't really necessary now, box sets, catchup and VOD has 90% of content

I have no issues when changing the service code to 1 in the bouquet, recording works all the time and time shift too, just that some streams have bad artefacts and lag

I might need to look into catch up then

Firesticks are currently on offer for £35 instead of £60.
Easier accessing catchup and box sets/VOD on android than E2 box but it depends what it is you are trying to watch. Catchup is only available for 7 days and only the main channels, sports, entertainment etc
