Amazon Firecube - IPTV stream freezes when cutting to an advert

With a shout tho to op 👍🏻 Since said never had issues with nvidia, sdefo sounds like a box issue...

@Alex456 Out of curiosity try
turning the Dolby Digital Plus off in the display and sound settings for your fire cube.
Then test again.

With the cube, as it automatically from out the box goes into Dolby Vision mode, it has been changed in the picture settings, I changed the Dynamic range settings to "adaptive" - is this right? Think it was set to always on before?

Also downloaded Tivimate and watched the Villa game on TNT last night, only the free version but it was fine, not once did I have the above issue, if it's fine over the weekend I'll pay for premium as I have read you can do quite alot on premium in terms of customisation?

As for your question on the apps being clones, I am not 100% sure, both are called "Sky Glass" however the one app I noticed when looking on the providers thread to reply to this is called XCIPTV on the download link, but once downloaded shows up as Sky glass, not sure if that answers your question?

One thing I have learnt as I have tried a number of different devices now is there always seems to be an issue. If it wasn't for the Sky Sports UHD not being supported on the shield I would still have it

Yes the Dynamic range should be set to adaptive so that the cube switches to the correct range depending on the content being viewed.
Did this help with your freezing issue on your main suppliers apps?
Did you try my suggestion regarding Dolby digital plus?
Some fire tv devices fail when trying to play files that contain Dolby Vision and HDR colour ranges.
Not sure if the Cube is one of them.
This usually only affects VOD and VOD apps though.

Yes premium has lots of settings and also has good customisation imo.

I haven’t used the Sky glass app so can’t comment but have used xciptv and never had the issue you mentioned.
I noticed you mentioned Sky UHD not being supported.
I noticed recently that my Sky UHD channels no longer show the HDR(HLG) logo and use standard HDR logo now on my TVS.
Not sure if they haves switched formats but would help Shield users if they have.
