Ok so update on my viark the motor doesn’t seem to be moving when I change Sat’s. It seems to be stuck on some west satellite. The motor light is green. Anyone know what I can do to try troubleshoot

Go into Antenna settings and make sure the motor option is on for each satellite.

It's not like enigma2 images which will have it on by default.

Like the below pic, Motor is set to USALS:

Yep it all looks like this.

So I changed the satellite to 0.8w and it started knocking on my roof pipe, I think maybe the wind as misaligned it. What would be the best way to get it aligned right? Stick it on 0.8 and manually move it?

Also does the being misaligned sound right I.e can the wind blow it out of alignment?

Is the dish close to your neighbours window...eg can it be reached to be moved 😂

Yes strong wind can move the dish and you or someone competent will need to get up there and get it aligned again. Moving the dish by motor now won't get in back in line with the arc.

Haha yeah it can be reached and I do have a clear line of sight. When it was setup it was working fine but think something happened not sure what were it’s just misaligned now.

If I put it on 0.8w and let the motor move to that position, should I then manually try and move the dish up and down, side to side to get signal?

Yeah struggling here lads not going to lie. Can’t get the motor back to 0. Got a tm 2300 but keeps going further west

You could try switching from usuals to diseqc 1.2 to move it manually or use the goto X 0.0.

I would try a motor reset though first, check the manual it should tell you the procedure.

No need for any specific reference sat on usals that was more for diseqc, usals can use any sat.

I set the box to 0.8w, manually got it back to 0 and then manually adjusted the dish and got 70% quality. I then when to change to 28e but the dish went west. I haven’t changed anything in my usals settings from
When it was working before.

What am I doing wrong?

Recheck your usuals coordinates.

Remember for a minus figure it needs to be set to West and not East.
