Need some help guys. Put new line on x5 for friend, line glitches every 12-13 seconds. put same line in f5s no glitching.......?

how are the boxes connected to the internet, ethernet or wifi? are the boxes in different houses?

its possibly your friends intenet playing up have you rebooted his router and try a different Ethernet cable

could be the internet, people forget that upload speed is also important for cam servers, do a speed test on the line and make sure nobody is downloading on the internet

It's defo not router cables... F5s on same setup same line no glitch...

Obtain a test line and check before moving onto firmware and also check the PSU.

Had different test line,same. No glitch on freeview channels

You said boxes were in separate places, so I said it could be the internet speed, I didnt mention the router cables

There speed ok. Had no bother with last lines they had

check the signal strength and quality in satellite setup, dish could have moved slightly, or the lnb needs adjusting. Let me know what the signal strength is like on the channels that are breaking up. Also check if the FTA channels are ok

The onboard PSU is a fairly common fault with these X5's and was moderately altered with the Z5 . As the boxes aged the PSU slowly deteriorated and caused glitching and freezing due to overheating.
Try a change in firmware and raise the box to allow all round air flow. If this doesn't work you can still get a cheap PSU board off the bay.

Trying all this on cold boxes. Only done it as a love job, nothing init. Got my head dun in.. LoL, PSU out my range. Cheers for help guys
