Not booting

Hi all, so I have a duo2 box and it won't boot up...it gets stuck on opening screen. I've tried to reinstall openvix via USB but box won't recognise so won't install. Any suggestions as my thoughts are it's time for a new box as processor is done

Try a different PSU, or, if its getting stuck at 49%, you've probably chosen an incompatible skin when trying to install your new image

Have you different USB sticks ?

Also make sure you have no other usb device plugged into any other slots.

VU+ PSU's are very reliable to be honest seldom do they cause problem its worth a try if nothing else works, my thoughts its your USB stick they're picky with them. Try use one below 8gb and USB2 not 3 if you can.

All these enigma 2 boxes are picky about the usb used even what machine you use to format the usb.
I used a Macbook,W11 PC and a W10 PC on an 8gb Sandisk stick and only the W10 PC worked on a Gigablue UE 4K.

Flashing by USB is surest method of resolving issue.

If it is starting but stalling, then it means the Linux OS is running but Enigma2 application is having issues. You should still be able to interact with it at command line and even flash it. Check on router if receiver has an IP address or use Angry IP scanner.

hi so tried again and no success, can i ask is it to do with the usb im using. Do u have to use a sandisk usb of around 4gb??
I don't think the brand of USB matters, as long as it's a reputable brand. I do find bootable USBs that USB 2.0 and not 3.0 are more stable though... but that's just my experience.

I asume you have powered of the Vu at rear , no other usb devices and plugged in to rear and front if needed to flash and press any buttons needed to start the process after powering on.

Yep all unplugged and main switch is used, my spare which is my backup works fine and recognises said usb...so conclusion new box required

Should you wish to flash the receiver by command line, you can use the following:

init 4
ofgwrite -r -k /folder_of_unzipped_image
