Movie Organisor plugin - organise your series recordings into folders

Hi there,
Have used Movie Organisor for years. Now trying to install it to ZG H7S box. It offers me the the .ipk file to load. Press green to install. Comes back with no files downloaded, every time.

Using Open ATV 6.4.

Any help appreciated.
 
Have you followed the instructions within the opening post of this tread by @grog68 ?

Just in case you are having a problem downloading the IPK linked therin, I have attached it to this post.

I have RAR'ed it, please Un-Rar before use.

Hi there. Yes done all that. The box recognises the .ipk file. But when I select it and green to install, it comes back with 0 files downloaded every time. Tried a few different USBs to see if that was the prob but nothing seems to work.
Usewd it for years on my last H5S box but can't seem to load it on the H7S.
 
Use terminal in openwebif or putty

Put the ipk in tmp then in terminal copy and paste opkg install /tmp/*.ipk

Hit enter

Copy the output command as that should show the error then paste it here
 
Make sure the IPK has downloaded properly, make sure the file size isn't 0 bytes or something,

In telnet/puty you could also try

Seems to think it is already installed. However can't find it anywhere. Does not appear in plugins/extensions. Nothing in available plugins.
Here's what telnet returned.

opkg remove enigma2-plugin-extensions-movieorganisor

Or see if it's listed in remove plugins then try to install via command line again.
 
Got it!!!!! Eventually......

Found it in the extensions folder on the ZG, so deleted it manually. Still no joy. Wouldn't go in.
Deleted using "opkg remove enigma2-plugin-extensions-movieorganisor"
Then re-installed using "opkg install https://www.dropbox.com/s/1492j21go...-extensions-movieorganisor_2.14_all.ipk\?dl=1".
According to telnet text went in ok, this time
However still couldn't find it.
In "Plugins" went into edit mode and there it was. Moved it using the "move" command, then after restart it appeared.
Not altogether sure where I moved it from but got it in the end.
Thx to all for help.
Grog68, notice, after update, we are at v2.2 or thereabouts, any chance of posting the required file to avoid restarting box twice. TIA.

Mine too.

Crashed after installing the latest 2.20

I had to do a reflash but I installed the plugin and it works now.

When I update software online too it crashes too and have to revert back to a save point.
 
Mine too. Used MO for years without a problem. Got a new box ZG H7S, so had to install a fresh copy. Ran it on ZG H2S and H5S no probs. Have installed it, then one side of my box crashed. By one side I mean I have sat side and IPTV side. IPTV side crashed. Not immediately, after a few days. No idea of the reason, or what was happening at the time. Just IPTV side disappeared. Only way to recover was a re-flash.
Uninstalled and all ok again. Tried another install, same result. Have given up for now.
Uninstalled completely and now all ok.
 
To answer my question , I formatted the hdd and it seems to have done the trick .Seems I had lots of symlinks .

Is this option still working? Getting the following error through telnet.
Collected errors:
* opkg_download_backend: Failed to download https://www.dropbox.com/s/1492j21go...-extensions-movieorganisor_2.14_all.ipk?dl=1, wget returned 8.
 
Thanks go out to @twol who has updated the Movie Organisor plugin so it should work fine with Python 3 which openATV 6.5 will be using as well as VIX

There are no other changes to the plugin function wise so no need to update unecessarily
 
Is the movie organiser plugin still working? Went to use it today and it crashed (blue screen) on one of the my boxes and would not load on another box, it was working fine last week.

It's not changed at all since my last update above, when it was updated to work with Python 3 readty for new images that use it, in June. It's sill working on my two boxes.

What boxes? What image is on the box? have you done any software updates prior to the plugin crashing?
