its probably a blocked air intake or breather pipenot worth it,I always put the value of the car really cheap so the insurance is cheap,Think i had its value about £500

It turns over normal but just won't start.Dont fancy a bump start as chain might hop , throttle bodies are prone to crap build up with these cars due to breather pipe nearly on top of throttle body.
Does car sound like its going to start as like it flooded/wet spark plugs?
Does it swing over fast with no intention of starting as crank sensors stop engines from starting on these .
I took the air intake tubes off from on top of it ,unscrewed the four screws holding it down sprayed the cleaner top and bottom then used a cloth to clean all the crap off, then pushed it open with my fingers to do the middle, then put it back when it was clean,I did not undo any sensor's while doing it.just disconnected the negative from the battery.then when I put the battery back on turned the key and waited one minute while the throttle body reset before trying to start it.when you say you cleaned the carbs,
what exactly did you do.?
just spray a load of stuff in there with the engine turned off.?
should get a ton at least from a scrapyardnot worth it,I always put the value of the car really cheap so the insurance is cheap,Think i had its value about £500
i cleaned that out it was full off mayoMain breather is on rocker cover with white stuff on it Sticker?
I have another key, would any of these cheap things do for reading and reseting codes?Got a second ignition key to try as codes might need to be read to check for other things as battery was disconnected.
I have something similar to thisi cleaned that out it was full off mayo
