Satellite Disable power light on front panel in standby mode?

Is there a way to disable the bright power triangle light on the front panel when the box is in standby?

I just pulled the front panel off and put tape on it.

That's a bit of a drastic way of doing it.
So it cannot be done through one of the software settings?

Agreed it can be a bit annoying, shame it can't be turned off in standby like the rest of the display!

Mine's a H7c and it doesn't look anything like that when it's in standby, it has the time/clock showing (dimmed) and I don't recall that "A" being visible at all, I can hardly see it now and it's switched on

I can't see mine at all, even when it is switched on

I think some models changed later on plus you may be using permanentvfdclock or even VFDControl

I have 2 boxes and one is much brighter than the other , the older one is dimmer so i just put it down to it wearing out. ,hopefully it will conk out completely soon 👍
