Green light flashing on phone

I couldn't find a mobile phone section in here so here goes.
My uncle has a Doro 6820 mobile phone and a green light flashes on it as it's supposed to after missing a text or phone call.
Is it possible to disable the green flashing light as he finds it annoying?

He's too old to know how to do that now.
The best he can do is to answer the phone.

Think it's built in to the phones operating system and there's no option to turn it off. Prob best to just stick a piece of insulating tape over it.
