The best way to avoid adverts on YouTube on devices where you can't install uBlock origin is to go for YouTube Premium - I use Gamsgo

I've tried PiHole's and various DNS services and from all my testing, they did not block adverts. The only consistent solution I've found was uBlock origin, but I don't know how reliable this is now, as I've been using YouTube Premium for over a year.

YouTube (Google) are not daft and they are imbedding adverts into the content now. Twitch do this so that browser extensions can't block the adverts. The adverts are coming from the same source as the content, so blocking adverts would also be blocking the content.

using a vpn connected to Albania, still works with youtube no adverts Moldova, or Myanmar I have not tried but they are also supposed to work

Could I just say that Polosolo step by step info just lets me see Itv programs. I did try Channel 4 and got ads. So haven't tried CH 5 or other U channels.

Sorry for the very late reply Mate! Yes it works very well on ITVX. Channel 4 is problomatic, Channel5 I belived worked good last time I checked and not sure on U...... As for youtube..... I would look into a browser that may be compatible with your TV OS interface......I am sure I came a cross a post somewhere on trawling through numerous posts and threads across the net that mentioned the Hisence Vidda and a internet browser that worked quite well and blocked most Ads too, so it may help with youtube? If I came across the info in the future or indeed find the relevant info you need?? Then I`ll post the info here for you..Mate!

Hi, yes I found that it didn't work on Channel 4 & with My5 it sort of works but sometimes it restarts the program when it skips the adverts. Which can be a real pain.
