Best budget streaming device?

For the price of it, the FS is really great value if you're just wanting to stream TV. I have one in the kitchen and it works great. Have to restart it every now and again, clear the cache maybe ever couple of weeks but otherwise it's been totally problem free. I have a shield too, they're great, but yeah, overkill for iptv and it's not a budget device either. My father has a chromecast 4K and that seems to be no problems either. Both are cheap.

Just out of curiosity, anyone using the new Google streamer and have thoughts on it?

I had the Google streamer, I liked it, only sent it back as it didn't do Sky Sports via now tv in UHD, I now have the firecube, like you I have a firestick in the kitchen and one in the bedroom, they are great devices

Even better after turning off the autoplay ads and the other options in the preferences menu, firecube feels alot more nippy now

I am surprised a new device like the google streamer wouldn’t have UHD channels on Now tv.
Did see it mentioned on Reddit though.

No doubt it will be available eventually, I just didn't want to wait, I would still have it now if it did, it was a good device and the programmable button was very useful for switching between that and my Sky Q box on my AVR, although shame the grey version was only available in the USA

I've not read on if you can do it with the cube, but I followed a video on a custom launcher so it just showed the apps on boot up, really liked that feature, the advertising billboard which is what I liken the firecube/firestick home screen too is an eyesore.
