Are Motor Satellite installers still a thing?

I've had a 90cm dish up for maybe 15 years now, but I think it's now lost a bit of alignment. ( I can still pick up most sats i've alway been able to, but I've noticed that if I manually nudge the dish using fine tuning, I increase my quality on 16e for instance from 58% up to 70%). I also haven't recently been able to pick up manually entered feeds for Boxing events etc. I would either like to have somebody realign the dish, or maybe even have it all replaced and get a 1m or 1.1m dish.

Thing is, I've emailed as many local installers that I can find and they've all come back saying they don't do motorized systems (even though some of their websites suggested that they did).

Do motorized installers still exist, or has it kind of dried up since they CS became less popular?

Why not learn to tweak or install yourself.

I'm not against the idea of learning to do it myself, but I don't have a ladder that would comfortably reach it. I'm guessing I'd also need to invest in some kind of tools that would let me train the dish accurately?

I've spent the past few hours messing with DiSEqC 1.2 settings on the box instead of USALS to see if I can improve anything that way. (Though I'm not sure if I'm doing that right yet - all a bit trial and error so far).

If your using USALS, take a note of your Longitude incase you need to go back to it, then have a play either increasing it or lowering it till you get a better signal

My issue is that I can't seem to add anything from places like Feeds en direct : les fréquences actives - Satelliweb or Biss Feed Keys - Football Feeds Live On Satellite. - I generally use a Viark SAT4K, but I've also tried messing about with my old Vu+ Solo2 - neither boxes finds me any signal strength.

I'm gonna try bringing it up in the Viark thread to try to ensure that I'm doing the right thing to add TPs.

You have an alignment issue, also feeds on 7e and 10e can be very weak I sometimes struggle with 110cm dish. Location and dish size is key, alignment is paramount.

Adding that one gives me a signal straight away. Nudging it it 3 or 4 times E or W only degrades it to 76% from 77% though. And going futher either way makes it worse still.

Then 7e looks like its aligned ok. Just because you can get that tp doesn't mean your dish is big enough for all 7e feeds

Many thanks. It's just strange - I used to be able to pick up boxing feeds posted in here - It's just that when I've tried over the last few weeks, I've had no luck. This one for instance, I get nothing. I'm certain I also tried something a little while back that I found on 28.2e & couldn't even manage that one.

Nice one. Really appreciate your time. If i'm on a 90cm, is there much to be gained by going to 1m or 1.2m or would I not likely see much improvement?
