I have also come across this issue on my H7, as per your pictures I got the same with the certificate thing (i presume that was the fault?) when doing an update and then it got stuck in a boot loop ending in a freeze.

The way i got round this (and shows the importance of a full backup) was to use Recovery Emmc - I used Openvix 6 6 001 Release Zgemmah7 Recovery Emmc

This worked fine and installs the basic image after, then i went into menu/setup/vix/image manager and flashed the stored full image backup and all working fine. I think as Willo said it was a glitch, but I had it too.
 
going to put this out there, i have a new ab pulse 4k box, i install willow over vix6.7 no issue, it fine until i change the skin , i have tried sky builds by kiddac, willow hd ones , Then it tries to re boot and stalls on the Willowbuild screen , you can see it try to start, but then freezes, then you can do nothing with it so i have to start again as even turning it off and rebooting wont get past the screen, and i have to reflash vix and restore willow and were working again with stock skin, done it three times now , something obvious ?i am downloading them from plugins.

The skins in my build are KiddaC's skins. I just renamed them to stop possible conflicts with the original ones because I have made modifications.
Try just installing plain ViX on another partition and then install KiddaC's skins.
 
anybody tell me were the willow build back ups are which file etc on a e2 box , deleted all on HDD but there are still two there one i think internal and one hdd. they are corrupt as willow just crashes. ta

i can do and have done that , but i suppose it will re create the settings back up again " vix-rel-IM-6.7-willobuild.tar.gz" ? if i re install willow over vix again?
, but will it be a new settings back up or one that was already there from a previous flash?
