WilloBuild Willowbuild - adding iptv provider

Hi,

Probably silly question time!

I've installed willowbuild on a zgemma h11s. I've contacted a iptv line provider - he gave me a script to run - so I did.

If I go into Settings -> Softcam Management -> and use the yellow button I can see a folder called SMART_4k which is what the providers script has generated. If I click OK on this theres a long list of channels. But clicking this doesn't seem to do anything?

I contacted the provider - but he simply said to run the script (via putty) again - which did nothing?

Am I missing something? Is there a provider that 'just works' with the EPG? I seem to be contacting different people and they all want me to install different builds to make their system work. Now I've got willowbuild something like - I fancy giving it a whirl if poss.

Any help appreciated.
Rob

Have you got the URL for login details. Script is an outdated way to setup ipee better off using a proper plugin like Jedi maker or xsteamity

I can't remember how the antiquated script method worked, did it produce bouquets etc?

To the OP, click the TV button on the remote and see if your channels are hiding in there

Softcam manager is for satellite cam line's not IPTV

Script method would either create a bouquet or a long list of channels. Press fav or TV button and scroll down to see if it's generated a list.

no - contacted another guy - but he wanted me to use xtream-editor.com - which appears to need ATV instead of vix?
I'd just like a nice simple IPTV provider!

Good call - there does seem to be a separate folder there again SMART_4k - but when I click it - it locks up the whole box..

Nearly everyone who will message you in the request section sell for others and have very little knowledge of enigma 2 boxes. You need a URL - username and password once you have those post in the willobuild support thread for help.

Get in touch with your provider, ask him for the m3u.
You can use this in jedimaker plugin and in xtreamity to create bouquets etc

Gotcha - thanks - I'm contacting a few I've found over the net - once I get that - I'll follow you're recommendation, cheers

Well I've got all both now - M3U and url, username/ password!
Install jedimaker from plugins.
Then on your laptop or PC, open putty or whichever programme you use, navigate to etc/enigma2/jediplaylists folder.
Create a new .txt file, edit it and paste in the m3u.
Save and exit.

Then open jedimaker on the zgemma and create bouquets you want from the list.
Import epg using epg importer and you're done

I've installed a plugin JediEPGXtream - hopefully thats the right one.
I can navigate to etc/enigma2/ - but the jeditplaylists isn't there? Have I installed the correct plugin and/ or should I just create the folder jediplaylists?

Thanks for the help

There will be folders named bouquetmakerxtream and xstreamity in /etc/enigma2

Edit the attached playlists.txt and replace the uppercase sections with your server address, port, username and password.
Save it and copy to those 2 folders.

Launch BouquetMakerXtream or XStreamity from the blue button or plugin menu.

If you installed jedimaker and rebooted the box, the folder should be there. If it's not, create it and then paste the m3u into a text file and save as playlist.txt and exit.

When you open jedimaker it will ask you where the playlist is, you can then type in where it is.
If you install xtreamity, you can tell that to use the same playlist

Yes jedi is now called bouquet maker xtream or similar, not used it for a while
