Fair enough Im a waste of time. Your entitled to your opinion
I have the dec 4 mesh, but mine is a basic simple setupNo in when vm hub 3 router is in modem mode all ethernet ports are disabled exept the first one but you can add switch if yoy need more ethernet ports.
mines is setup as in below
Downstairs, Hub in modem mode --> primary mesh unit --> network switch --> Uptsairs, secondary mesh unit network switch -->
Quel suprise!
You came up with loads of ideas within budget, yet bought nothing. And now all them deals are over, seems like your a waste of time.
Good idea see Hiteck lol but you have to buy tickets to win it🤣🤣Maybe start a raffle up for a Mesh system next ay mate?
Nah I'm OK mate I ain't a charity lolI'll buy @channelking a number!
Buy one you having a laugh it would be about 10 but I would give it CK if he needed them
Yes in ideal situation if power sockets available PC downstairs halve way up the livingroom so longer ethernet cable needed even the PC is on surge protected extension cable but prefer to plug the decos into main plug rather than extenstion cable same senario upstairs. But absolutley no problems with mesh best thing I ever bought. Normally about 185 on virmin 200 package via lan upstairs As I mentioned I would ideally like to add the Asus router just to try VPN via that rather than using vpn manager on the gigablue uhd quad 4k it has gigbit lan but when using vpn I can only connect between 25- 45 but zgemmah9Combo I can get 85 and it does not even have gigabit only 10/100 I put it down to the quad core on the zgemma even though the gigablue is faster in normal use. @Willo3092 do you have much speed loss when using vpn via ASUS router ?I have the dec 4 mesh, but mine is a basic simple setup
downstairs, hub in modem mode with primary dec 4 connected, 2nd dec 4 in living room and 3rd in betdroom.
No switches, no lan cables around the house, no wife winging at cables everywhere.
got e2 boxes in bedroom and living room both connected to dec4 next to them with short lan cable, everything else is wifi.
I've never tried it direct on the router because I've never worked out how to set Google to use GB currency.
Do you not use open vpn on enigma2 nord for example ,if so you can add certificate and username and password in vpn settings on asus router. not really bothered about pc or android as you say you can use vpn apps or windows application @woody6222 any input here would be helpfull think you had Asus setup before with vpn.I've never tried it direct on the router because I've never worked out how to set Google to use GB currency.
Every time I search for a price for something it comes up in monopoly money.
If anyone can tell me what to do I will try it.
I just use the desktop app so that I can switch it off when I'm shopping.
Ok I understnd now was not sure where Google came into the equasion, so if using vpn from different country google takes that as your default it must be your default settings in google I tried ivacy vpn on windows browsing with firefox via 3 different counries and a ll my searches were as normal.I use VPN Manager on my E2 boxes. It's just that if I use it on my PC, Google thinks I'm abroad and shows language and currencies in foreign.
That's why I've never bothered putting it on my router.
You could tell her we've changed from gbp to whichever currency it is when using your vpn🤣🤣🤣Yes, what I mean is that when I'm using Google via a VPN on my PC it always shows the currency in my VPN location.
I've searched through google settings and set UK as my default country but it still doesn't work.
I would much prefer to be able to use my VPN on my router but Mrs Willo spends her life shopping on her laptop and she would have a meltdown if all the prices were in foreign!
