Ways to improve the signal strength of my Wi-Fi to the other end of house cheaply

I’ve got my router in the back extension, no other place to put it to get Ethernet cable to zgemma via outside wall. I’ve put a security camera on the front of the garage at the front of the house (40 feet away) which doesn’t get a strong signal. Can anyone recommend some cheap kit to improve the signal strength please.

The cheapest way would be a wifi extender, followed by a mesh system (dedicated wireless backhaul or wired with Ethernet backhaul) if your mesh supports it.
