You just plug them in lolI’m sure @mike123 has the pods he might be able to say how he has his connected
Yes I bought a netgear mesh system in the end the pods were OK . Mesh system much better. So i have the deco mesh and i also have a couple of the pods (because they are free so wanted to see how they went)
I have a couple of the pods and they are basically a WiFi extender more than a mesh. They aren't there to get the best speeds they are there to cover the black spots in your home. They are basically plug and play, plug them somewhere where you have about 3 bars of signal but closer to where your black spots are. Leave for a couple of days and that's it.
I don't lose signal where I was before and get speeds where I don't get any buffering, so surely that's the point.
However the mesh system of the deco is better especially if you are able to hardwire them
I was waiting for answer till looked down ffsI've got the answer to this
Buy a new router
Tell me about it my ee router is pants luckily got the bt wholehome mesh system and every device connected to thatI dont understand all these posts about poor WiFi
It's because the isp routers are shite, there's nothing that's going to help unless he changes his router, it really isn't difficult to understand lol
Will have a go again tomorrow and speak to their technical team 2moro see what they say about the pods.Have you looked here from what @Scufferoo posted bud even the drop downs How to set up and troubleshoot Virgin Media Intelligent WiFi | Virgin Media Help Some useful info on there even in the drop downs
Because you loose speed with just buying a router. Although you loose a bit with mesh system it's not ad muchI dont understand all these posts about poor WiFi

You haven't gave them a full 24 hours to zone in yet. Put them half way between your blackspot and your router. Where you have 3 bars on your phone, and just leave it. A decent hub will change between 2.4 and 5ghz depending on what you need hence why the pods have one network. No point sending them back when you can have 3 in your house and unless youre living in a mansion that will cover everywhereWill have a go again tomorrow and speak to their technical team 2moro see what they say about the pods.
Could be I'm not setting up the pod properly or something as I have found signal or speed hasnt improved.
Did leave them for about 24 hours. You haven't gave them a full 24 hours to zone in yet. Put them half way between your blackspot and your router. I would just send them back and get a deco mesh system and will help a lot tbh don’t take this personal but the amount of time you’ve messed around even waiting for your mate you could’ve easily bought a system and your speeds improved by now.Did leave them for about 24 hours.
Strange why pods can't connect to the two SSIDs instead of just one network with both 2.4ghz and 5ghz part of it.
Have only one pod other two they will be sending out with second one coming early next week. Have put the pod I have where signal is weak but no improvement.
Even if I end up having all 3 pods mate I don't see how that will make much difference when with the one pod I have the signal ain't improved and speeds are same as well. That's why was thinking send one I have back and cancel the other ones they supposed to send.
I only really have one blindspot which is upstairs in the back room.Get the other two pods, and put them in between your router and your current pod.
What's the distance from the router to the wifi blindspots?
