Yeah it does not work better to run VPN on your router is your router is capable.

Yes I've got a high end gaming router, looks like I can install my express VPN onto that and just direct it to the IP of the Viark. I have fixed the IP of the Viark.

Anyone have any idea which country the Apollo IPTV servers are located?

VPN all set up on router directed to to the Viark IP. Set it the Netherlands for now and see how I get on with the IPTV.

I wouldn't worry about vpn on viark iptv, it will already be well hidden.

It was more because my other IPTV provider buffers all the time unless you use a VPN, I think the ISPs throttle it on purpose.

Is that Merlin or the bog Standard Asus firmware ?

I take it you have just tunnelled the Viark through VPN, best way.

That's just the basic Asus firmware, I've left it alone as it seems pretty solid to be fair and I've got a node (smaller router) that boosts the internet out to the log cabin in the garden so don't want to mess that up

Yes literally the only device going through the router VPN is the Viark, I have a Nvidia Shield and some fire sticks but I just use the VPN app on those so I can switch them on and off as required.

I was watching LFC on Supersport Albania this afternoon on my Viark4k, kept getting a notice coming up on the screen with my serial number with BAD on the end of it, anyone have any ideas about it?
my sub is due to renew soon, not sure if that is anything to do with it? just remembered it kept changing colour.

Been mentioned a few times it's your serial number , it's a way of them checking if you stream the feed , elsewhere . Not sure what the BAD is though.

Don’t think the toon game was on SS today either mind. They seem to be missing more games than usual imho. Over last 18 months id say generally only missed the 1 3pm game. Not complaining at all tho. Still a new hobby to me - loving it.

First post on the thread, my Viark arrives from Spain on Friday.

Read most of the thread started from page 200. I am now actively shouting at my phone “check your tv CEC settings” whenever a post about no audio is made

Cant wait to get started and hopefully help others once I’m up and running.
