1.05 update is only for Viark Sat 4k. You have to find relevant update for your box

You have to update firmware which is available on internet, then scan the satellite

Just managed to download from the spanish site before they banned me off for a second time, not sure why they're banning me didn't have time to post anything 😢

Was reading some comments on the Spanish site and noticed someone bricked their box after updating to 1.05

However the recovery instructions given were interesting and needed Win XP Pc. See below.

Not sure how common to get this issue but worth keeping the below things in hand

For this Recovery you need:
"TOOL ALIUP.Exe"
RS232 Cable
PC with Windows XP and RS232 slot
Firmware

Wonder if he flashed the firmware from PT Upgrade or Via USB

I always update via USB i dont trust OTA upgrades at all.

Yes looks like it or there could be power failure during the update.

When updating by USB, do you copy the zip file on the USB or just the bin file ? I am awaiting my delivery of the box this Friday so trying to get everything organised including the channel list without any porn!

What's the verdict on the latest firmware updates on the Viarks then?

For me the Eurosats are fine as they always are and 28e has been pretty stable, i guess we need the weekends football to see if it breaks 😆

Liverpool game was perfect on tue night, but had a few glitches in 2nd half of bayern psg on bt 3 hd last night

BT Sport HD1 is a pain as usual

not tried premier sports, that always froze before

to be fair, cant see what has changed. On the global IKS telegram page, some seem to suggest they have Sky Italy but nothing for me. Also some boxes seem to have not had an update or the users dont know what they are doing. There seems to be a constant call for BFBS on 10 East but not sure if its a request or should be available.

BT Sport HD1 is a pain as usual

I did watch the everton city cup game on there a few weeks back and it was perfect, but that was the only time. Been using 1 extra hd for the prem games.

I tried the wifi dongle last night post game, performance was much worse. At the moment I use ethernet but that is connected to my router via homeplugs. I'll try wiring it direct to the router for Friday's game, see if that makes a difference.

dont think it will on those channels, if yu can stream the 4k hlg channels on 13 East then internet speed should be ok

I can stream them fine on Mesh network but Premier starts and stops after seconds

are those online streams or sat channels on the viarks?

I think it might be a ping issue, like the lag you get during Fifa matches (for those that play). When I connected the dongle, it was only picking up my 2.4ghz network not my 5ghz one. Wouldn't be surprised if it's down to the boxes having a really shit network card,

Thats on 13 east satellite, there are quite a few high quality HLG UHD channels. Anyway what am I talking about, if you can clear anything you should be able to clear everything. Very little data needed on C/S

From what ive heard the new firmware should stop the long outages, these were caused by their server been attacked in the most part. Done to discredit the server out of wanting the real hack themselves..

I found the same mate, you not going to beat a Ethernet cable for response time really.
