SP1 will give you 28e SP2 just gives you IPTV on top of that.

Set the new box up today. Have to say I’m well impressed in the short time I’ve had to play with it before work. Although couple of Sly Sports channels weren’t clearing , no biggie, scanned all the sats, DE Sports, Greek Nova all great but only watched a few seconds of each channel so don’t know how stable. Well impressed so far. Pity there’s no proper footy on this weekend!

They dont seem to like NTFS and can loose the mount, id try it at exfat if not fat32 works, recording over 4 gig if you need to is not an issue as it splits the file.

Thanks again! I finally sorted the recording features on my Viark Sat 4K. They work with FAT 32 but not EX FAT. Live pause works fine but despite enabling the 'Enable X-Timeshift' System Configuration setting, it still doesn't rewind live TV unless already in a timeshift. Is this normal?

EDIT: Found a setting in USB/PVR Setting/Auto Timeshift which I've turned on and tried various 'Timeshift Buffer Size (MB)' settings including Auto and 100 but without success and instead keep getting error message, "Fail! Auto Timeshift Failed."

Yellow are what the server can open.
White the server can not open them, or are not encrypted so FTA.

Tried again tonight and timeshift is working on some but not all channels on my Viark Sat 4K. The FTA channels and a minority of subscription channels are fine and indicate a green dot but it fails to automatically start on the majority of subscription channels.

The affected subscription channels all seem to be ones that take a while to clear the black screen and initially display the message, "Buffering, please wait..... " When that message doesn't appear on subscription channels, they clear quicker and timeshift usually starts automatically.

Any reason why it's failing on many of the subscription channels?

Sound like you should purchase an official sly Q subscription. Pushing the box too hard i would think.

Just been watching a channel on my box and noticed my serial number showing on the screen in the left corner for a couple of seconds and then going off and returning in a different colour each time. Is this normal? Lasted for about 2 mins....

Yes normal just a deterrent to stop people restreaming channels

Gtmedia V8 uhd latest firmware: anybody else finding that on 39.0E ERT 1,2,3 etc are constantly saying updating Biss key and even when key is found it doesn't seem to store it in memory and does the same again everytime you go to the channel?

Try deleting all the keys in the softcam reboot and try again.

I've tried reloading a softcam file that I know worked with the previous firmware but how do you delete all the keys?

Not 100% sure on the V8

On the Viark Sat 4K, go to the key menu scroll over to biss section and press the recall button on the remote and all keys are deleted in one go.

Thanks but nothing like that on the V8. No biss section. Tried loading a blank softcam file then the channels just say no service! All very strange. Two boxes doing the same since last firmware update.
