Viark VIARK TYPE BOXES

No idea, don't use it myself (autobiss that is).

Just pointing out that an update is needed for the Sat 4K for that alone (but there are other things that need updating, such as IM Pro 1.42 / Apollo 1.42 or whatever they want to call it this week).
You answered it here already, so nothing on either updates have auto biss sorted?
The GTmedia's do have auto Biss, but just like the latest Viark firmware it seems to be very hit and miss as to it working from what i've read.

Biss keys

No idea tbh, I think most of the "fixes" were for sats I don't watch (can't receive due to tree's), so wouldn't know.
If they both have issues on auto biss still, nothing else has probably improved so no new viark sw was required to bring it upto where latest GT is?, but you can roll back on viark for auto biss and everything else still works ok cant say same for GT?

I wasn't suggesting that the v8 UHD was any better.

Just that the Viark we know did have Autobiss working on an older fw, so they need to update to fix that (even if they do, doesn't mean the V8 UHD will get an update for it).

Luckily the viark can roll back SW and still keep everything inc auto biss working.

You can also rollback the v8 fw, but no idea if an older one had working autobiss or not.

I do know from posts yesterday though that really old fw no longer works on the v8's though and causes it to keep rebooting when trying to view icam channels.

I don't know why, but I get the feeling that some seem to think there is a need to say 1 box is better than the other.

Both boxes are virtually the same, I wouldn't say 1 is particularly better than the other in any aspect, except I personally perfer the v8 uhd remote.

The price of the v8 uhd (when it's on offer), makes it great value, but otherwise there really is naff all in it between them.

For what it's worth, since getting the Dual, I rarely use either of them now as I like the fact the dual will upscale to 4096x2160p50 and adds HDR, which makes the picture on the F1 look fantastic, even if it is only upscaled 1080i, it still looks far nicer than either the v8 uhd or sat 4k.

The V8 UHD is better if you have nosey neighbours/guests - you can easily pass it off as a router.

The Dual is an experiment on the android side where Forever lives and most would want it for Android side, is not match reliability wise to any other Forever box.

I have the TM5402 M4 which has FS and viark is better stb and better supported all round than that stb
The Gt media I can only read feed back and base my replies on that, and also the feedback on the dual is its riddled with bugs from all the owners I know that have them, be they freebies or legit bought by them.
its all documented on here and SU and many other forums as you know.

Again i'm not saying the Dual is a better box, just for what I mainly use these boxes for, it offers me the better picture quality. Yes it has bugs (not sure it's "riddled" with them, but it does have a few), the V8 UHD and Sat 4K have less bugs, that is for sure.

Hi,just spotted another possible contender on ali,Solovox Firebox F1.Has anyone tried one? It deffo looks
easier on the eye than the V8 UHD.

Just did a quick search on that, it's not a substitute for the V8 UHD / Viark Sat 4K as it's max res is only 1080.

Might be an alternative to the Viark Sat or TM5402 M4 though

i configured via the key section , but how do you pull up the feed as it was suggested to me that you just go back to the channel go back and forward a channel but it doesn't pull it up
