Received my 4K drs today from Germany.

Trying to update to PT 1.04bin however getting the message Bad update Bin !!!


Any ideas where Im going wrong

Hi mate please just check the software. You say you have the DRS, most have the sat 4k. Is yours not android?? Anyone know if they are the same software, I'm unsure.

Has something gone down, apart from briefly earlier today not had any highlighted channels since yesterday

The sat 4K and drs 4K are totally different boxes if you have the sat 4K then pt 1.04 is indeed the correct firmware if you have the drs 4K it uses different firmware

Has something gone down, apart from briefly earlier today not had any highlighted channels since yesterday

Happens every day around this time (peak time) guaranteed to be go off, normally up to a couple of odurs hours but can be more.

Shoddy, amateur service.

Android 7.0 version? If so, you need the 'Viark DRS (1.03 Prometheus)' bin file to upgrade via USB.

What's the betting, viark boxes on uk sky are down. It's that time of day, evening peak time and they are off.

Mine were off this morning, came back on around lunch time and went off again after about 20 minutes. Everything looked better, less glitches. Maybe updating something?

Must be a glitch, my Viark Sat says disconnected, but channels on all the main sats (except 28e) are still highlighted & clearing.

I send my dish to another sat now to test, it was on 1w before moved to 28e but I did not test it.

Thanks This seems to have worked OK do I now update with 1.04 ?

If its worked - I would leave it at that! I've not updated it after I got it working. I tested it and boxed it back up!

Sorry another quick question I have a Prometheus update showing do ignore this ? Also notices softcam updates etc again do I ignore ?

There is no 1.0.4 for the DRS
