Hi teachers
To my great pleasure I've recently got rid of virgin as my isp and TV provider, I'm keeping the virgin TiVo V6 box, is there a way to watch Freeview through it and use the pause, rewind, record features?

Don't think so mate and don't they make you send the boxes back? As far as i am aware they still own the boxes. Has you contract ended and have the boxes stopped working yet. Even with a E2 box with cable tuner i think there are only one or two channels available.

Just buy a second hand BT PVR YouView box from eBay and use it to record Freeview.
Got a few for elderly relatives and they work well for viewing and recording Freeview.

As Kegnkiwi says, I think that you have have an obligation to return their equipment. Don't get to bothered about it until they get in touch with you.

Dont know what tv you have but I use a usb in LG tv and record on that
