Unlock Android Tablet

Hi, I have inherited an android tablet from a deceased family member but I don't have the password so I can't use it.
I have got as far as a factory reset but then it asks for a google account previously linked to the tablet so again I'm stuck.
Is there any other way to make it useable again.

Theres no known legitimate way to override Factory Reset Protection that was introduced to prevent an unauthorised person from taking a phone, tablet etc, factory reset from recovery and then make it there own.

If its a branded tablet then as above - unlikely. If you have access to the persons laptop/other device which has the email/password saved, you might be able to 'recover' the email address so you have access to it then reset from there.

If its a generic/chinese branded one that lacks security - there might be a way to 'flash a rom'.
