UK TV abroad on Firestick

Morning All,
I Live in the Republic of Ireland and I have been trying to access UK TV players, (BBB Iplayer, ITV X, My 5 etc.) for a long time. I have tried many VPN's and Smart Proxy DNS. They all seem to be geoblocked. I am using a Firestick 4K max. Can anyone recommend a solution that works?
I don't mind buying another device ( already have a Chromecast, which does not allow me to download the apps from the Playstore).

Hopefully someone who lives there can come up with a recommendation for you that works ...would have though dns option might be a better choice but can't test with me being in UK

Thanks for that. Only tried Smart proxy DNS on my Hisense Smart TV. The TV is 3 years old, so may not still support iPlayer. I'm reluctant to change DNS settings on the Firestick. Is there any way to sideload the apps to the chromecast?

I use them in Spain randomly using surfshark or windscribe, so ireland wont be an issue.

I'm in UK atm just turned on windscribe Location London Crumpets on Firestick 4K max, tried bbc iPlayer, itvx and my5 all work fine.

If you don't want to change DNS settings on firestick itself ...download a dns changer ...I use lily on shield and it's an app which you can set the dns on and turn on/off as needed...Chromecast won't be an issue as it will have Google playstore so most apps will be available le without need for sideloading
