tv guide android app - for uk, Sky tv etc

Hi everyone.

Fairly new here, been reading rather than posting, and joined forum as recommended here for the find a IPTV section, which from what i've read is not quiet as good at it once was...

Anyhow on to the point LOL

Done a quick search but didn't find a thread on this, I would of thought there would of been, so maybe I just didn't use the right search parameters or something?? Anyhow, I just wondered if there is a decent Android app that people use to keep track of new upcoming tv series, and can use to set reminders for shows that are due to restart like series 2 episode 1 etc? I am about to test out an app called TV Guide by Twice Perfect & another one called UK TV Guide Smart by goNET atm but thought i would ask here if there is one that is known about and commonly used by those using IPTV?

I am used to the Sky epg and the new series option, and how it usually auto records new series of one you have previously recorded and watched but i am cancelling Sky and looking into IPTV and looking into the options i have to not miss anything etc....

I guess the VOD such as streamio and RD will cover any i miss live or repeated, but not looked into this much as of yet, does this have new series on here fairly quick etc?

TIA (y)

So many new people joining up and instantly requesting tests it's put off longer term members from replying these days. Loads offering trials just be wary and do short term until trust is proven.

Yeah that what i've read which is a shame but understandable. Techkings was suggested as you would get offers, if that is the right word, from long standing iptv sellers which was more appealing than ones you find else where, but sounds like a lot of offers now are also from newer members selling as well. I guess the purchasing of invite to get forum access was put into place to try to curb this...

2bh i can get details of one which some friends of the family have used for a couple of years but i like to do my own work so to speak, to get a better idea of whats what LOL - Like what IPTV players there are and what they are like.... The EPG element is fairly important, i don't like the ones which show just a few bits on the bottom left - I know you can get into a more complete looking guide but as it stands i really like TiviMate and how the epg looks on there so will likely be buying the pro version of that.

I use RD for VOD and use Syncler app and Kodi add-on Fen to watch it.
I use Trakt to keep track of the content I have viewed and to notify me of new content that I have added to my watchlist and to look for new content, along side TMDB.
I do have VOD on my iptv sub just in case RD goes down for some reason.

iMPlayer is also a decent app but I mainly use Tivimate.

Tivimate is good but you will still need a full URL which most are reluctant to give out. Some suppliers have their own version.

not heard of that one, will have a look.

Yeah, had one which used a reskined version of IPTV smarters (or something that looked similar) which I didn't really like, and from what i can gather you can remove channels from view on Tivimate individually rather than the whole group like smarters does via parental settings. Looked at IBpro as well but that looks alot like smarters.

I will only consider one that will provde the xtream or m3u login details not just their own app.

Yeah i have read about Trakt when messing about with Kodi and how it keeps track of what you have watched etc but need to look into more. I don't think it links to a IPTV service though does it? (hence looking at app options) - can you manually add stuff to Trakt to get notifications etc? That could be an alternative to an app.

It’s worth having a look at.

Yes you can remove individual channels and groups no problem.

Hopefully you find a decent service.

I just login into my Trakt account within the app or add on I am using and I have access to all my content that I have watched, am watching and going to watch.
It also notifies me of when a new season is available to watch.
It also has list of new content and you can add custom lists and make your own.

Another app which is good, that does have a custom version available by some providers is sparkle iptv. Very similar to tivimate from what I've seen...

I thought Syncler was a stand alone app like stremio ? Why do you need to watch on kodi ?

It is a standalone app but you can choose a different external player for more codec support which Kodi would give you over the internal Exoplayer.
You can also use Just player, Mx and VCL.
In my post I said I used Syncler app and Kodi Fen addon for VOD.
