Picons & Preview pngs updated with the Sky The Open channel as well as I added future Sky Cinema Pop up channels eg Sky 007, Sky Superheroes, Sky Star Wars, Sky Harry Potter, Sky Star Trek, Sky Disney Pixar and so on....

cant remember off top of head atm as im away

but i think its menu > setting > epg > then just go into each option and change text to -8 , you can change rows etc, picons with text etc etc i am just showing picons only

might be idea to save the epg before hand
 
Hi can't seem to download the sky q skin. It's saying that files are already on my server. I think it's because I previously installed the sky q 1.3 skin. I deleted this but can't download 1.4. Any ideas how to fix this. Thanks

Is there anyway you can change the sky movies channels to say Sky cinema. Have put the sky cinema picons on already so please could someone let me know if I can change the text. Thanks

Most of the movie channel names are the same on your reciever. Sky have just rebranded Sky Movies into Sky Cinema. You dont need to change the sky movies names.

You just have to download the new picons and SkyQ Preview.pngs

I have a Gigablue Quad plus with twin sat and twin cable tuners. Why do some picons show up for Sky bouquets but not for Cable bouquets?

First two photos are from a Cable bouquet and last two from a sat bouquet. There are other channels that are showing the same picon whether it is is a cable or sat bouquet. Strange how some picons are showing in either types of bouquets but some are just showing in sat bouquets.
 
I must be definitely doing something wrong I have tried everything I can think of but cannot get the channel list icons up. I have a Edision OS Mini which is running the latest version of open vix.

I have not done cable picons. I have just done Sky UK Sat Picons. You need to copy the png file and name as the way the channel name is in small letters without space. Sky Sports News HQ HD will be skysportsnewshqhd

Can I ask if this skin modifies any py files on installing the skin as i noticed in the code for the channel selection screen you have some skyq related widgets or attributes for the next and third names and descriptions.

Just interested in how it works as i have designed a few skins myself.

To show the Picons in the channel lis on vix you need to,

open channel list - up/down arrow on remote
press menu
settings
show picons in service list - Yes

you should now have picons in channel list :)

It doesnt change any images .py components but it adds sum customised converters and renderers modified specifically for the SkyQ skin.

Extract the ipk file using 7zip and you will find the files in usr/lib/enigma2/components/converters and renderers
