Your box seems to be stuck on bootloop. Reflash your image again. Next time you online please send me a PM & I will help you install...

Just wondering if there is a way to change the level of transparency of the background when flicking through the channels?
Its very light and I'd like to make it darker so I can read the text easier

Try use the OSD menu in the setup. The infobar has been designed to copy the transparent glass effect as the original SkyQ...

Sorry for the follow up question but where on the openvix image is the OSD menu? I can't see it in setup?

[EDIT] can't see an option to change that in the OSD..

The SkyQ is graphics oriented thats why its slow if your box has less memory.
