Hi,

I have been with my current provider for some time now and we are now on a new sky Glass IPTV app. This great however it does a fresh EPG import and scan for channels each day which is really annoying.

This can be turned off but then there's no EPG loaded at all.

Any advice??

What device are you using. It's standard procedure to update playlist and EPG on most apps. If that's what you mean
 
What is the base of the sky glass app? I. E. Will usually be Smarters, XCIPTV, IBO Player, etc etc. This will help you to find out where it's likely to be in the settings if possible to update...
 
What device are you using. ?. Does your provider provide you with all details. As in server, username and password?

If so tivimate takes some beating. Or ibo player.

But loading a epg and playlist should be quite quick . Unless you have thousands of unused channels. Which you could remove from playlist with tivimate
 
Yeh there's thoushands of channels.

I have a User name and password yes

Where do ya get tivimate from?? just a straight search on Downloader??

Would need server address to. Alot don't give out.

Could ask your provider what other apps he as.

Some do Tivimate I think

It's the amount of channels it's trying to pull epg data from.

Another option would be to ask provider to remove unused channels

Could ask if you could kindly use tivimate

yeh just have..... hahah will see what he say's.....

Can I hack into into the epg file / playlist and remove the channels not needed?? Just not sure where to look haha

Even a big epg file is small. It takes a matter of seconds to update most apps just do it in the background. You never really notice

Well mine loses app the current EPG info as it waits to reload the new one which takes a good few mins 😲
