Signal being blocked

Hi, my father currently uses a sky dish for Freesat but there are trees now blocking his signal. Local council won't cut trees down, is there any other way of getting Freesat.
Will be no issue when leaves fall off but come spring we will be back to same issue.

Would it be possible to re site the dish to somewhere with line of site ?

It's already at the highest point below gutters, there's 3 trees in front an they have all started to grow into one another an they are taller than the house. We have asked to have them trimmed back but dont gold much hope. Father doesn't want to put dish on a pole as it would have to go up a fair height to clear trees.

Is Freeview (i.e an aerial) an option? Or if neighbours will allow a cable from their dish?

Otherwise Freely.
He uses a zgemma h9.2h box, with IPTV on it. But likes to use the Freesat for local stations. Can Freeview be used with this boxm

If it works for your normal TV , it will work. Best way is to try it.

Assumption is you know what to do with the receiver. If you need a hand, say so and people will help. We'll need to know which image, including the version/date..

Using openvix 6.6.001 and wooshbuild, not sure what version of this is on box. Haven't updated in over a year as it's been working ok.

Connect the aerial to the receiver.
If you dont know what your local transmitter is, go to the Freeview website on your PC. Put your dad's postcode in and it will tell you. You will need this for ABM later.

In tuner configuration, you should see DVB-C and DVB-Tl.
DVB-C, set this to disabled, not configured, nothing connected.
DVB-T, set the country to UK. If you mast is listed select it. Otherwise "All regions" is fine.

In ABM:
Disable the Freesat provider.
Enable Freeview, select your mast/region and run it. i.e perfom an ABM scan. You don't need to run ABM regularly. If it is on a timer disable it.
