Sf8008 USALS setup help

Newbie
Hi, I’ve been using a GTMedia box for a few months with good success with a motorised dish using USALS. I have recently tried setting up an old SF8008 box I have to use USALS on the OpenATV & Vix image and I can’t seem to get the dish to move at all. Would anyone be able to help set this up please. My current settings are:

Config - Advanced
Sat - Astra 28.2
LNB - LNB1
Polarity - Auto
Type of LNB - Universal
Voltage - polarization
Tone - Band
Increased voltage - no
DiSEqC mode - 1.2
Fast DiSEqC - no
Tone Burst - none
DiSEqC 1.0 command - none
DiSEqC 1.1 command - none
Sequence repeat - no
Use USALS For this sat - yes
(Correct long and lat details entered)
Extra motor options - no
Force legacy signal status - no

Thanks

That long ago but why would / should it move as only got 1 sat entered?
Think it needs extra info to go to a certain sat

Checking on my box LNB-LNB1 press >arrow on remote to go to LNB2 and enter to what sat its going to , i think i had LNB3

Found something from the past.

Thanks for the response. It does have a list of satellites to pick from but even in the satellite signal finder, manually telling it to move east or west does nothing unfortunately.

You do not need to be in advanced to get usals to work. On the first tuner page when setting up the image select simple. Then on the 2nd line down where is says mode toggle left and right to positioner. Then enter your long and lat in and use the green button to save.

Thanks for the response. I have tried that and still no joy. This is the current config. The satellite is currently pointed at 16E because that’s what it was left on when I moved from the GT Box

There’s also plenty of satellites in the list
Probably easier to download a channel list. Press menu, plugins browser, green button download plugins/install plugins. Then select setting packages and then scroll down the channel list until you see one with rotating/motor. You could try vhannabal.motor. This will install a motorised channel list on your box. It will reboot your box i think afterward. Then press the up button above the ok button to bring up the channel list. Then push green button for reception list and select 16e. Then the channel list will appear then scroll down and try a free to air channel list al jazeera balkans hd. See if you get a picture.

Update: it’s now opening channels on 16e but when I click on BBC on 28e it says it’s moving but it’s still fixed on 16e so from what I can understand the dish just isn’t reading the commands for some reason. I know the dish is working fine because it still moves when using gt media

Unsure any further because it could have been that you may have select locks during being in the positioner set up screens. Maybe a factory reset or a reflash might be the quickest way to solve an issue.

Unfortunately have already done that but the dish is still fixed. Hopefully someone will have dealt with this before.

I think i have seen this before but it means that you need to get to the motor and depending on the motor there is often a reset button under the lights. Usually on a tm 2300 or tm2600 there is a little pin hole and you put a paperclip in to reset the motor. Hopefully you don't have to do that.

I am presuming you are using the same wire that was working with other receiver instead of wire from a multi port lnb. Have you checked f-plugs have not unscrewed from wire? If so, Flash your image again, do not restore settings or plugins. Then set it up like kegnkiwi posted. Make sure you don't mix up east/west. Reason being, once you go into advanced tuner config, you have to unset it otherwise it persists.
