s10 PVR functionality and recommended hdd

how is the pvr functionlaity on the s10? and what is the normal hdd route to follow? is it external usb only?

I use the WD Elements se 1 tb portable hard drive without any problems.

Hi all,
When I try to playback recording and/or MVK/h264 files the picture freezes every 30 seconds or so, but audio continues. Initially I though the problem lay with my Western Digital 500gb "book" but I've subsequently tried several dongles/USB flash-drives. Same prob on each occasion.
Anybody else encounterd this problem?
