Pixel Cleaning OLED Tvs

Just noticed this in my TV 🙈 hasn't noticed it before. Or I knew it was there but thought it runs automatically after a certain number of hours, didn't see that you could do it manually. Is it recommended to run this one? Don't really want to mess with it since I like how it all looks at the moment and don't even know if it will help running from an external device. Anyone done it? Worth doing? Can it be undone if the result is not to my liking?

Leave it and let the TV do it behind the scenes when it needs to. No need/point running it too oten and it can reduce the lifespan of the panel by doing so!

You cannot undo anything, it is what it is. Think of it kind of like an etch a skech I guess is the simplest way to 'think" of it!

Thanks for that! I'll leave it alone.

Since you're here anyway, how about the AI options for picture and sound? I turned it on but noticed no difference streaming from an external device though it says it will work with HDMI. Worth leaving on?

Maybe someone has recommend settings for these LG Tvs??

Anything AI, disable. Anything that ‘tweaks’ the picture, disable. It’s all rubbish.

If you want the absolute best, pay someone to calibrate it for your environment. If you are happy to try yourself, without full pro calibration, just google tv name calibration settings and get them from somewhere like rtings or avs etc.

Calibration by a pro is always the best, especially since you’ve spent a good amount on a high end tv.

If you don’t want to pay for calibration I use this guys settings.
He explains everything on his YouTube videos but also with graphs.

He will also answer questions if you ask.
