Man Utd reportedly stepped in to help cash-stricken Sheffield Wednesday with a generous act on deadline day

In a unique loan agreement for young defender Harry Amass, Man Utd have agreed to cover all costs, including his wages and accommodation. This generous act allowed Wednesday to sign Amass and add to their threadbare squad without adding to their significant financial burdens

Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen has agreed a new contract until 2030.

There is also an option of an extra year in the deal, which comes just three months after the Norway international joined permanently.

Wolves rejected bids of £50m and £55m from Newcastle in the summer after he scored 14 goals on loan from Celta Vigo last season.

Aston Villa president of football operations Monchi is set to leave the club, according to multiple club sources.

Monchi joined Villa in 2023 from Sevilla after a spell with Roma and two stints with Sevilla in La Liga.

Villa have made a poor start to the season under head coach Unai Emery, scoring only one league goal in five games, losing three and drawing two.

Arsenal winger Noni Madueke faces around two months out after sustaining a knee injury during Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

The 23-year-old started the fixture but was substituted for the returning Bukayo Saka at half-time

Sheffield Wed players have been told they won't be paid this month, pay day is tomorrow.

The owner is also set to lose ownership of the stadium if he can't produce £7m by tomorrow as lenders want their money. The overdue payments have already been deferred for the past three years so they might not be so nice this time. If he defaults, the creditors have the right to sell the stadium to whoever they want and take their money from the proceeds (like any mortgage default)

Players and staff have been paid late 13 times since Nov 2019, and 5 times in the last 7 months.

Jude Bellingham has been named England's men's player of the year for the 2024-25 campaign.

The 22-year-old midfielder scored once in eight games as England achieved Nations League promotion under interim boss Lee Carsley before beginning World Cup qualifying with new manager Thomas Tuchel.

He finished above Declan Rice and Harry Kane, who took second and third places in a vote by supporters.
