Possible engine failure

I’ve got this possible engine failure warning coming up on my dashboard intermittently.
Renault captur 2023 hybrid.
Bought a topdon Bluetooth device and scanned. Nothing obvious.
First time it happened I turned off the ignition, went back in the house to cry, came out turned it back on and it’s gone. Drive over 200 miles and never happened again. Since however it’s done this every now and again. Then it came up with pollution system error, and a couple of times it’s started running rough and lost power. Turning off and on again it all goes away. Then the other day the engine light and spanner symbol came on so took it to local garage. All faults were cleared at this time as usual. They suggested could be spark plugs but did full diagnostic and found nothing, changed plugs anyway and charged me £230, next day possible engine failure 😞
Any ideas guys?

2 years from the garage but 3 from Renault. Do you think they would cover something like this, it’s probably an electrical fault , it’s done it again just now. Turned on and off and running fine again with no fault lights.

Is your service history upto date and done by Renault ? If so yes if not no.

Just a thought and not sure if it has any merir but........when you call them, best not to tell them this i.e plugging unauthorised device (I appreciate it might only be usb/bluetooth) into the vehicle. You don't want to give them any reason to get out of warranty claim, etc.

The only thing that does show red on the live data scan is the oil temperature which says -40deg .
Unfortunately I can’t find out anything else about this as having bought this Topdon scanner, I find out now that it’s pretty useless without buying a security gateway token at the cost of £140 euros and I’m not paying that unless I knew it was going to tell me something useful. The local garage never mentioned it so I suppose it’s not anything that could be causing a problem
