Octagon SF8008 4K Supreme dropouts

I recently bought an Octagon SF8008 4K Supreme, the one with 5G wifi which is essential for me. I got it from abel-shop-eu. This one has developed a fault with the T2/C tuner, tuner B in this case. Every 20 minutes or so I get a picture and/or sound dropout glitch for a second or 2, very annoying... especially on recordings. I have tested my antenna with other boxes and direct to the tv and that is 100% fine. The other tuner which is connected to satellite works perfectly, HDMI cable and output is fine...

Any ideas? Is this a common fault or just a bad box?

Thank you.

All tuners are different ive read the Supreme tuners are not as good as the tuners in the Older sf8008 none supreme box.

What signal strength are you showing under the DVBT tuner ?

Thanks for your reply. I am getting 81% SNR and it says 50% AGC (whatever that is?). On my older box, same model but not the "Supreme" version, I had the same signal but zero glitches or dropouts. I really need the supreme version because the older one only gets 2G wifi and has slower speeds due to that and the network LAN port is much slower, so not great for 4K streaming. I had the Supreme set up nicely but then this glitching started on Freeview, terrestrial TV only. Satellite is ok so I do feel you are right....a weak tuner maybe. I am writing to the dealer, Abel in Germany...they have helped me in the past so perhaps they will send me a replacement box...fingers crossed. Hopefully it's just this unit, maybe a dry joint in the board or some such...

I see the new model Octagon Supreme V3 is coming with different tuners. There must have been something wrong with the earlier versions!
I am trying to get them to swap mine for a twin sat version...I've given up with the T2 tuners for now.

This is the reciever i use

OCTAGON SF8008 SUPREME TWIN S2X 4K UHD 2160p H.265 HEVC Linux Enigma 2
Great F.T.A reciever. Octagon state that it
Can reciever satellite signals below lock
Thats ok if the Enigma 2 image has been adjusted to suit this feature .The satellite
Tunners are AVL62X1,which are the same
Tunners fitted on the Edision recievers
The additional hardrive feature is a bonus
But then again who wants to take the top
of the box apart to fit it .Might have been
Better as the slotted version likt the zgemma
h9 twin .Over all i would rate the reciever 7
out of 10

They have now sent me a twin Sat tuner version, I am setting it up and seems ok so far...only using Astra 28.2 anyway here. Given up on Freeview, will just plug that into the TV, purely as a backup. Freesat has more HD channels and usually better audio.

Using this reciever for multi satellite system
Tunner A 28.2 east Tunner b connected through
Four port Disqec switch Port A 19.2 east Port b
13 east port c and d not connected. This means
If the Disqec switch faults ,will still have the
Freesat channels on 28.2 east
