Did the other devices get a signal?
Yours has no signal...maybe the centre copper wire has bent over when swapping cabkes
 
Is your satellite cable Aluminium braided
Notorious for breaking down and causing intermittent faults Have visual inspection of
your cable from the satellite dish to the entrance
Point in the wall Also check your L.N.B for cracks or a hole

Forget about the other boxes and locations, they may be different setups to yours.
There's a reason why your box and dish are not connected to each other and it has nothing to do with other people's boxes and dishes.
Have you visually checked that the dish is where it's supposed to be and not in next doors hot tub?
Has scaffolding been erected next door?
Has the cable been hit by a wheelbarrow or dumper truck and mangled?
Has the window cleaner knocked the dish out of place with his ladder?

Nothing has changed apart from me trying my mates box in my house and then when i reconnected mines nothinh. Was working before i disconnected. Other boxes have the same set up, when i chwck log its says it found channels but at bottom it says no nims

1) So yours worked fine yes/no?

2) Your mate turned up with his to see if his would work on your dish, and it did, yes/no?

3) After he fecked off, your box wouldn't find the dish, yes/no?
 
Its got to be the cabling or dish/lnb hasn't it , if it worked before,
If you disconnected and messed about with different boxes it then failed.
But you say you have redone the F connectors.

I have redone connections, would an issue with the software cause the tuner not to pick up a signal.
 
Faulty l.n.b would diffentily show 0 s.n.r
Are you recieving any power to the tunner from
the powee supply which would also show 0 s.n.r
 
I am curious as to when the "nims message" comes up.

Different power supply to be tested.
