New Seniors phone Dora 8200

Had to buy a Seniors phone without all the crap on it as dont know what half of it does if not needed.

One thing they have on the back is an emergency button if you fall over and hurt yourself and you registered it with contacts and has gps and always carry phone on you.

Best bit is if you break the screen in first year it is covered in 1 year warranty.

Phone comes with 2 year warranty and registration within 4 weeks of buying will give you 3 years warranty.

Phone is a hell of a lot faster than previous one and not waiting 30secs to load anything .

Dora comes with a table stand for charging which can be handy but leather case it does not work but charging cable fits in as there is no top and bottom.

Also got the Armoured glass in a pack of 2

They have sugar free ones, they're very nice.
I always have them when I'm sitting with my tartan blanket covering my legs while I'm shaking my fist at the TV News.

Okay need some tech brains on my Dora phone . When out of house and off Wifi i cannot get Google or internet connection.

Comes up with no Connection for internet meaning no WhatsApp messages can be seen or sent from from my phone.

Last year Redmi phone in same location with same sim with Virgin ie worked having not enabled Wifi in their house.

Not sure where to go as was chatting with it last night and cousin switched on a few settings and was limiting to WhatsApp.

Still not working as might have to chat to Virgin and Dora for suggestions.

Put doro 8200 no internet google and it will show the settings you have to add

You have to have mobile data enabled so that when you leave a WiFi zone, it connects to your phone network 4G or 5G.
It can be patchy in rural areas, usually not far off wifi speeds in cities

Just enable mobile data.
Roaming is for when you're out of the country you live in, I use roaming when I'm fishing in France so I can watch UK tv and listen to uk radio online. I don't use roaming when I'm in UK, just mobile data

Might it have something to do with Virgin? Ever since they merged with o2, all the lads in work are constantly complaining when it comes to connecting to the internet. :)

You may have a icon like this below from samsungs try pulling the screen down from the top. If not on my poco phone under settings and mobile networks then is a button that says use mobile data and you need to toggle that on and off.

That is off. Virgin sent me this link but might be for 3 networks only.

check here and if these settings are in your phone then its anybodys guess, you may have to do the usual turn on and off, a complete reset, get phone replaced.
But I would try these settings first.

Same link as above as gone through it 4 times and not saving settings even after restarts access points say not set

I take it you clicked on the doro 8200 and another tip is take out sim card and re-insert and then if not working its a case of new sim card.

Had to ring Virgin for help for settings and now have a listed APNs Virgin media.
How ?

• Choose Access point names.

• Choose the plus symbol.

• Under Name, enter 3 - wrong info as its suppose to be Virgin Mobile
• Under APN, enter internet
• Press on 3 dots above to save.
• Now i see it has saved that info and when out later check my phone works.
• No other settings needed entering .

Update now when out and about WhatsApp and others can be used..
