Need some advice please!!!

there
I own a openbox v8s,I haven't had access to any channels since they all went down a few months ago. I was wondering is there anyway to get my channels back? I have heard people mention IPTV, is it possible to get this on my openbox or will I need new equipment? Also what have other openbox owners done when their channels went down?
Many thanks.

Those who live in cabled areas have simply bought a box with a cable tuner and this is the best option if you live in a cabled area - IPTV is pretty poor.

Thanks Ste
I have virgin broadband, can you point me in the direction of what kind of box I need please? Something along the lines of the openbox,I don't have to have bells & whistles.
Cheers mate.

Thanks for the advice Ste
I have a virgin superhub but I think it's the 1st one not 3.0,I've had it a few years now. Will I need to get 3.0 to run the zgemma box and can you tell me what's the difference between the 2 boxes you mentioned?
Many thanks.

The vm superhub 3.0 can cause problems with some boxes v8 golden being one of them

I would personally go with the zgemma h2h as it is the most used box and has the best support :(y):

That's exactly what I'm gonna do.
Thanks very much for your help & advice pal, need to get up and running before the footy season kicks off.

Zgemma H2H has a known issue with cable tuners picking up interference
Avoid this model at all cost. The forum is littered with issues relating to this model only.
Try the H3.2TC instead.

Really? never knew that - I must have been lucky with the dozen or so H2.H's i've set up for myself / family / friends.

Ive seen first hand at least 6 of these receivers causing issues, once swapped out for other brands problems went away.

Is the H5,2tc not a better option than the H3 model m8, as i don't think there is too much of a difference in price....

Never come across this issue with the picking up interference on a H2.H, Installed a few and all been fine and dandy.
I would go for the newer latest model if i where you and go for the H5.2.
For the comment regarding h265 codec, "Which as we know, pretty much useless at the minute"
We move forward and technology moves forward, get the better model to future proof yourself, no brainer

Anyone know if channels will come back on the openbox? Lost all movies sports and sky one etc. Is there a way around this? Or another box I could buy that they work on?
