Multi lnb 65cm dish UK

I don't think they realise the pic has been taken from the dish end!! or as you say does not know about the mirror effect. They are good. Be careful with skew for all the sats and the other thing is focal lenghth, this is the actual distance between front of lnb and dish face. I hope you have easy access. There is a smartphone app app as well, you can use to find 19east. By the way when I clicked on your link that picture shows your sat setup while at front of dish!! you can see the slope on the triax bracket. To get you startedm find a free to air channel on 19e east, say what receiver your using, your dish probaly came with a connector for one lnb, use that to find 19east, then remove it and put on bracket, nb 4 lnbs make bracket heavy and will make lnb arm/holder sag a little so you may have to tweak elevation a little. A lot of people use quad lnbs, when it first statred you were advised to use bullet lnbs very slim and light but only one outlet. Thats about all I can remember. good luck and keep us posted. if you have trouble finding free to air channels on all the sats say so. I am away all day but back tonight.

Go to dishpointer.com select the satellite 19.2 enter your postcode It will provide you with your elevation and azimuth angle You could then set your elevation on the ground before you position the dish You just need to move the dish left or right to find the correct azimuth angle

Thanks
I've done that, I even zoomed in and clicked within about 6' if where my dish is going,
But, elevation markings aren't great in my dish, so it night Stoll be a couple if degrees out.
And, what about dish skew,? I can't do that company n my dish, does it matter that much as long as I set each lnb skew correct,,,,,

Have look at the bottom dish the l.n.b is set between 12 and 1 o'clock looking face on at the dish

There is no such thing as dish skew only lnb. You did not say name of your receiver and it would help if you say how you are going to mount dish is it a long pole, or the usual dish bracket etc Have you a smartphone? Do you know the Free to Air channels on all the sats you want? The most important part is that the pole has to be 100% vertical it cant be out. And when the dish is assembled it has to be dead straight. Think of the lnb as a gun and you want to aim it dead accurate at the sats. When you get the elevation off dishpointer make sure you select multi lnb reading. then when you fix on 19e you tweak the elevation and even move dish from side to side to get exact fix ie best possible signal.

Sorry, I have an edition OS mini twin sat and a skyboxF5 , and various other for feeesat on 28, hence the multi switch, only those two for other SATs tho.
I have an android, and can find 28, on my existing dish, so hoping I can find 19 easily enough,, ,,,,

Sorry, more add on, wall mount on traditional mount, I'm just going to bite the bullet and do it tomorrow,
What channels do I look for for initial signal,?
And then once tuned I need a euro line,?

Can't remember off by heart them but you can Google for lists of strongest and weakest fta channels on each satellite.
Strongest gets you lined up and then weakest let's you fine tune properly (most people don't bother with this step!)

My go to is al Jazeera because it's near the front of the channel list.
Kingofsat.net has all the frequencies.

OK, done a lot of jobs for the better half this mornining, then got to the dish, got it up, and using a cheapo meter got what I thought was 19,
tried a scan, and bingo,! was on it, went to signal strength, seemed okish, scanned 23, was there too,,, yeaaaaaaq,
Scanned 28, was there too, does life get any better,?!?!?!?
Started to fiddle about to increase reception,
Now I have nothing, :(
Will go again tomorrow, at least I know I'm in the right area, ,,,,

It's all a learning curve - sure you'll sort it... gotta be easier than setting up a motorised 1.1m dish on your own up a ladder

OK, so I've only got 3 lnbs up atm, totally forgot about the spare quad I had being the smaller sky size neck,
Anyway, they should be pointing at 28 23 and 19,
I have in fact now got, 28 19 and 13
But at least I have something, :)

OK,
couple of questions, as usual,,,,,,,
how do i put pictures up?
how do I save my other sats? even just in a list would do, I'm running Whooshbuild v5

you should see upload a file on lower right in green, click and then go to where you have image.

I'm a bit confused, when you scan a sat it will automatically save it, then when you press ok the blue button says extended, press this and you will see the sats, cursor to sat, ok and see channels. Have you got a diseq switch as well fitted? my pic is an example

Yes, I have a diseqc fitted, 2 actually in parrellel,
So, quattro goes to multi switch and then from multi to lnb1 of diseqc switch, lnb 2 goes to lnb2 of switch, and lnb3 goes to lnb3 of switch.
I've obviously just missed a save setting somewhere, as all I see in EPG is 28 and last saved.
I'll have a play with it tonight when I get home,
At least I know its working, I just need to fine tune the dish and sort out the menu settings,
Thanks all for your help.

OK, so I'm now starting to come to the conclusion that 28 23 and 19 are not possible on a 65cm dish, you simply can't get the LNBs close enough together to get a decent snr on all three SATs, if I have 60% on any one sat the other two are glitching at 40%,,,
The 4 or 5 degree separation is just too close,
I'm going to try dropping out 23 and putting it at 13, hopefully will be OK at 6degrees,
So far anyway, most of what I've been watching has been on 19, MotoGP in HD anyone, with mega excited Spanish commentary, even if I don't understand it,,!!! :(y):
That alone does it for me.....
Next up, sorting some bouquets,
@mike142 how did you do yours please,? they look decent.

13E might be better, you could center the dish at 19E & see what the signals are like.
I just used the channel editor on the V8s & put the available C.S. channels in order at the start of each Sat list, (Sports, Film, TV, Kids, Documentary, Music, Adult), i kept the Fav list for 28E, if you had a similar box i could a list for those 3 sats.
