Motorised dish plus fixed dish on a particular sat

satfoot

Newbie
At present, I have an Octagon sf8008 combo with a motorised dish system covering various sats
but also wish to have another fixed dish for one particular sat.
For the Motorized Dish I have a coaxial cable from the motorized dish to the LNB input on the set-top box.
For the additional Fixed Dish, I think I would need a DiSEqC switch to handle input from both dishes,
by connecting the fixed dish to one of the DiSEqC switch inputs and the motorized dish
via its LNB, to another input and then connecting the output of the DiSEqC switch to the input
of the set-top box.
If this is correct, how would I then set up the Tuner Configuration on the stb, please so that
when I goto that particular sat, I would be using the fixed dish and not the motorised one?

Tuner A:
DISEqC port 1: Motorised dish feed via the motor (controlling the dish)
DISEqC port 2: Fixed dish

Tuner B:
DISEqC port 1: Motorised dish feed bypassing the motor (not controlling the dish)
DISEqC port 2: Fixed dish

Let me clarify what I need to know.
At present I have a motorised dish with 13E as Motor Position 1, 19.2East as Position 2, 16E as Position3 and 23.5 as Position 4.
What I would like to know is If I install the fixed dish for example for 16East, how do I change my setup so that when I goto 16East, I use
the fixed dish and not the motorised one.

Set tuner to advanced.

Decide if you want the motor as port A or port B and then set the fixed dish to the opposite port.

So lets say fixed dish is tuner A. you go 16E and set LNB 1, change this to diseqc mode 1.0, and diseqc 1.0 command to port A.

Then for the other sats, change them to LNB 2, set to diseqc mode 1.2 and diseqc 1.0 command to port B, then input your usals or v-box stored position if you are using a 36v motorised system,
