Okay my box has a hdd internal and externally powered usb drive as used to go between mounts to view older recordings , No longer seeing my usb mount to enter and any scan for network mounts used to bring them all up and now only one seen.
If i enter Webif on laptop or on H7S network scan not found. I go into EXPERT mode and enter 192.168.0.11 and scan but it does not find it which it did months ago.
Correct IP in use as i use a Vu Zero to stream from box and just rechecked box IP and its correct. Box has just got a reboot but nothing has changed but not done a router off / on.

Have i missed something as everything is hard wired but using network switch to add more network ports.

Are you able to say which version of ViX you are on and what file system the USB device was formatted in?

Edit:
Also, best to address the problem on the actual receiver instead of complicating issue with mounts of it on other receiver. Leave out openwebif and just use your remote.

All on ext4.
I will try on ET8000 with remote and see whats there.
USB has been on this box for over a year and swapping over to view stuff on it , not sure if anything current was recorded on it.

There is a USB storage device detected, but it is not mounted. Have you tried putting receiver into deep standby then restarting again after a minute?

Post a screenshot of Blue, Vix, Mount Manager or post result of issuing this command using Putty/Terminal.

Incidentally, you are better off moving to ViX 6.7. The device mounting code that ATV brought into 5.51 branch is more robust especially for those who keep disconnecting USB devices. However, the mount points may need setting up to your preference if you have two devices.

I went in first and powered on box and tv and box showed both as ext 4.

Put into standby and powered off , after a while powered it on.

USB has always been plugged in and never removed but lost .

Image after box was powered on again

Went to check Network Browser - Expert and entered IP but does not locate box.

So you advise to do an upgrade 6.7 ,okay noted and will setup from scratch again.

When i was in my recordings and using the yellow location button a could see the USB drive and the Media Hdd.

I see the new image says USB , does this mean to use via the old USB method as downloading to box at the moment.?

AHH all my images state USB

Please stop confusing things. Forget network stuff and OWIF. Please just listen. I know you have your wax issue, but just listen.

On the receiver with the storage devices,
1. What do you want the internal HDD to be mounted as?
2. What do you want the external HDD to be mounted as?

Once again, forget the network stuff and focus on the box itself.

There is no need to setup from scratch, you can restore your settings and plugins afterwards.

Reflashed to new image , restored settings and plugins and found what was lost. Not thinking straight again today.
Cheers @Abu Baniaz

I asked what you wanted, not what it was.

If the storage devices have the mount points exactly as you want on the ET8000, now proceed to setup the network mounts on the other receivers.

You are meant to set them like you want.

The new method of mounting on actual receiver is more robust. The old method was affected by timing and sometimes the usb device was mounted as HDD and the physical HDD was sda1, sdb1 etc. Even though code was designed for internal HDD to be mounted as hdd.

Hopefully they will stay as they are now you are using the newer image.
