Looking for guidance Dish type and setup

Hi everyone. Looking for guidance, can see posts from NE England, Cambs etc.

Im on outskirts of Glasgow and want to get started with a 4-way multi lnb setup. Viark 4k arriving on Friday.

I’d initially pencilled in an 80cm dish, on reading this thread it might need 1 metre

It looks like most feeds live on 7e, was also going to put 16/19 then 28 on the final setup.

With more and more sport hoovered up by TNT and only today Eurosport now merging in, you almost need 2 or 3 subs to the same service if you need access to pictures. Sky multiroom still going strong but its less and less relevant and no use for stuff on TNT / Premier.

Been a Betfair trader for 15 years had access to Cobain IPTV before it went web based login for every use (as everyone had a client password).

Ive got 7 screens in my office want to make best use of them.

If you wanted an “all sports” setup what 4 sats would you have ? (And why). Football. Golf. Tennis. NFL. Cricket. Rugby. F1. I take an interest in all of them.

What size dish would you say is minimum to make your choice possible from Glasgow ?

Thanks.

28.2E- UK tv obviously
19.2E-Sky Germany for PL in English, NFL on mux feeds
16.0E-SS Sports for PL in English, UFC as well
9.0E-NFL on AFN and other good US major sports events on there e.g. tennis, golf, NBA

I'd go 1m especially considering your location as well as motorised rather than multi LNB.

Any reason for the multi LNB preference?

Think he may even have to go bigger to get 7e, think he wants to zap to channels faster, multiple set up etc on sat feeds . Can't be waiting on the motor to move to desired channel with his intentions

If I’m multi LNB going 2x4x2 Diseqc that means I can be 2 feeds simultaneous on different sats. Its about having multiple pics at once, will still have existing Octo lnb for 28e, that means I can go 2xNew 1xsky 1xsky multiroom rf loop. 4 feeds at once if I want.

A tad worried about putting 1m on side of house. Cant remember if Sky glasgow zone is 60 or 80 just now.

If 7e is likely no go even on 1m I’d best just set myself with an 80 going 3 from 13/16/19/23 +28. How would others on here position themselves if 7e was out ?

Thats the key bit I’m trying to workout. There’s only so big I can go, think 1m is my limit on side of house.

@manic01 would you call the size I’d need to be solid on 7e so I can discount it.

No sport feeds as such on 19.2e, very rare on 23.5e/28.2e odd ones on 16e.
7/10e main sport feed sats, and thats mostly efl and cup games darts etc

The main aim I have is to return to what i had with cobain iptv which was essentially iptv player software with 4 miniscreens showing sport off normal sat channels around the globe that take the major events (with no latency on their iptv retransmission).

7e feeds seemed like an extra possible win but not essential.

For completeness if you were in Glasgow and wanted 7e feeds without fail, what size dish ? (To keep thread on subject of biss feeds)

@Kurdt Kobain can I ask how your thread of 2020 ended up as im trying to do the exact same thing. Wanted to do 13 19 23 28

Triax 80cm multi LNB spacing 16e

On another hour of reading I could in theory do a monobloc 4.3 in the middle to do 19.2 23.5 and then just sit slimline ones at either end for 13 and 28 ?

Theres also a 3-way here but it says 65cm and I was going 80cm
Quad Triplefeed 23mm LNB, 19.2˚E + 23.5˚E + 28.2˚E for 65cm dish
IDLM-QUDM22-TRPOO-6PP
