I had exactly the same problem a while ago and it turned out to be a skyq lnb was fitted. Just changed the lnb to the normal kind and it worked straight away with no realigning etc. No signal from Sky dish?
Had an independent engineer come out this morning to check it out. It is the LNB which needs to be changed, currently it has the skyq lnb on the dish and I need a quad one which costs around £15 from screwfix. They quoted me £144, Im like no way. Luckily I live on the ground floor probably do it myself.
