Time to think of updating to a newer laptop as 2009 is old for an ASUS 15 1/2 screen.

Never heard of a laptop for seniors but bought a mobile for seniors.

Want a bigger screen if possible as no idea as not looked to see whats out there.

Is anybody using any?

Have a look at Linux Mint I've just installed the Cinnamon varient onto an old laptop and you can increase the size of the desktop icons.

I bought this from Currys 4 years ago - "HP 17-ca3500na 17.3 AMD Ryzen 5 Laptop - 1 TB HDD & 256 GB SSD (17.3" Screen)" £664 - I use it with a remote mouse & this mouse pad.
Still works the same today as when I bought it, this model isn't available anymore, but if I needed a new laptop I would get something similar.

Might be outside my budget but it gives me ideas. Where i am using laptop i have no room for mouse on small table so might need an attachment for using it.

As was mentioned Here, you can use the touchpad to scroll up or down by using 2 fingers, a mouse is much better esp. as you get older, you must have a very small table if you can only fit a laptop on it.
Price depends on storage, I'd recommend at least 256 GB SSD, you can always add a USB external hard drive.

So many things out there as for the moment it might be a docking port for usb as got to use one i bought 4 years ago.
Interesting some can offer more voltage.
Good read for sure.

Most laptops now have 3 usbs & 1 hdmi output, I suppose the more expensive a laptop is the better the sound quality will be.

Yes was just surprised when it was in whisper mode , a live stream on YouTube i need to view on tv as can crank that up for sure.

You can use the hdmi output to TV, or cast the screen using Google Chrome, might depend on the TV but it works well with my LG & Sony Oleds.

No need to cast to tv as Sony Bravia can run YouTube with a very big picture and quality sound.
So many other Apps not checked out yet.
Think 4 HDMI cables in use already.
